Shepherd’s Ministry is formed to help encourage, inspire, and strengthen the Pastor in the burdensome and trying responsibilities as leader and pastor. This ministry works on behalf of the entire church to ensure the daily needs of the Pastor are met.
The Deacons Ministry supports the Pastor and assists the Pastor in giving spiritual leadership to other ministries of the church. This ministry is also charged to lead in weekly devotions, prayer meetings and console the bereaved.
Youth Ministry ministers to children and teens in an effort to lead them to Christ, help them grow in faith, share God’s Word, acknowledge God’s goodness, recognize God’s blessings, and honor God with their lives. This ministry prepares and encourages youth in participating in worship services.
Nehemiah Ministry provides leadership of church projects as designated by the Pastor. This ministry assists the Pastor in implementing all visions, plans, and projects for the Greater Peace Baptist Church as God speaks to the Pastor.
The Brotherhood Ministry emphasizes growing godly men to become more effective in their homes, community, and the church. This ministry is built on the belief that faith is a manly virtue, existing not only for men but endeavoring to get every man to support every phase of the church's work.
The women’s ministry (Women of Destiny) is a sisterhood in which women of all ages gather for fellowship, comfort, healing, nurturing, discipleship training, witnessing, teaching, ministering, mentoring, and being heard.
The Singles’ ministry is open to male and female individuals who have never been married, widows/widowers, and divorcees, for the purpose of providing single Christians the opportunity to fellowship together. Activities include social gatherings and workshops that focus on spiritual development and strengthening their relationship with God.
This Ministry provides spiritual tools and guidance to married persons through education, activities, and evangelism for strengthening of marriages and the advancement of the kingdom of God.
The purpose of this ministry is to model support for the Pastor’s ministry and vision for the church body. This ministry is directly responsible for assisting and being available to the pastor during all church activities. This ministry stays in constant prayer for the pastor of the church.
This purpose of this ministry is to inspire younger believers, encourage, educate and change lives by communicating God's truth to them and to raise a generation of true worshippers of God. This ministry prays for the Pastor and the church on a daily basis and is charged with the responsibility to speak with Christian love to young people when their lives are not representative of the kingdom of God.
The purpose of this ministry is to provide transportation for Greater Peace members and others in the community who do not have transportation of their own or who are unable to drive for themselves. This ministry is responsible for transportation to all worship services.
